My 2012 year ends with an amazing and wonderful trip to Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. Of course, as a bookworm, I wouldn't let this chance pass without buying books from these countries. I wasn't able to buy a book from Myanmar, though, our time was limited, no time to visit a bookstore. I was a bit disappointed to find out that there's not much of english books in Thailand. If ever there would be, they're a bit pricey, for me^^*
This is where I got the book below. The bookstore sells brand new and used books and hey have lots of english books. They have most of the books that I wanted to have. But my budget keeps me from buying all of them.
Who doesn't know the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot's regime? |
I got this book from a massage parlor that sells used books in Pattaya, Thailand, together with my fellow bookworm^^*
My fascination of history and Egypt compelled me to buy this^^* |
A story of one woman who was forced to resort to prostitution just to survive. |
I don't have photos of the other books I bought in Thailand.
1. The Unseen Events of the Highlanders
2. Ayutthaya
3. The White Temple
